The End is almost here......

I kicked off my Thanksgiving break with a 9 hr. drive to Pittsburgh, PA. It was cold but so beautiful there. I enjoyed lots of well needed Rest, GOOD food, a loving welcoming family, saw it snow, celebrated a baby shower and just plain good times...thank you Jade & Ben Bower for being such great friends & hosts!!

Wednesday we had the opportunity to go to Grammy winning recording artist Ricky Skaggs studio. Wow...wow...wow it was so huge, a sound board with 56 channels, such beautiful wood work everywhere, artists signings and pictures galore and instruments all over the place. I was able to play the piano (signed by John Lennon) and our group participated in a afternoon recorded spontaneous worship jam session. What an honor an privilege to meet and hang with such a well known artist who's heart is so for the Lord and redeeming music for the kingdom of God, taking the light to the darkness. He and his wife with his Father in law Buck White did a concert for us the Tuesday night prior to thanksgiving...that was a treat and per my friends request Ricky played his mandolin - he's the best!
A few more highlights from this weeks speakers - Phil Keaggy came to our school....One of the best guitar players known. I met & spoke with him after his amazing & hilarious jam session, & he lived in Costa Mesa and attended Newport Mesa Church 20 yrs. back (for all you so cal people). I also met Heather Mercer a missionary to Afghanistan who shared her story of being held prisoner by the Taliban in 2001 for preaching the Gospel- what an amazing woman and powerhouse for God. Any one interested in working with muslims look up http://www.freedomcenteriraq.org/ .

With one week left and two conferences (we're hosting)quickly approaching, I'm trying to embrace the next week soaking up all I can. My time here has filled me with gold nuggets essential for life. Refined and REFINED me, an essential process for what the Lord has in store. Established Kindgom connections, giving me experiences in new levels and different perspectives, all adding to the value of my being for the advancement of the Kingdom of God. I must admit it wasn't easy....but ALL worth it! Glory to God for the good work He has begun in me and will be faithful to complete it as I remain surrendered, willing and faithfully obedient to Him. For those who have supported me in prayer and finances blessings, blessings, blessings to you!!! I honor you for investing in the Kingdom of God.

a week in Nashville.....

This past week has been filled with all sorts of events. Some days I feel like I eat like a queen...having fatty shrimp for dinner, steaks or lamb......and then I'm reminded I live in the ghetto when I have to have someone watch me walk in between buildings. This past Friday our morning work out consisted of some student bonding at Cracker Barrel...a very yummy restaurant for breakfast. That same day one of our apartments was used for a movie filming turning a section of our property into a movie set.

I awoke Monday morning to find my tires slashed 3 of the 4. Hmm.....in the 4 yrs. Thunder School has been here never have they had vandalism to any cars and I got 3 tires slashed....so I think I must be doing something Good for the Lord if the enemy is out to steal my joy, peace and time.

Wednesday night we had an open mic night and so neat to see how creative God has made so many people and to watch them freely express themselves (even amongst the nervousness). One of our students rocked the drums after returning from the hospital with scare of a failed kidney transplant. the day after our prayers the Lord healed him and Doctors said he was OK. Praise God!
Our community is doing a two day fast and the 1st day consisted of our weekly homeless meal preperation...I had the privilege of slicing and serving the chocolate cake.....nothing but juice for two days....but already experiencing breakthrough personally in my life. God is GOOD! We've had awesome workshops this week, great speakers and the Lord refining areas in my life that I didn't even know existed. A quote I'm taking this week from a fellow student "We're like steaks the fatter and meatier the steak the longer it takes to cook on the fire....the bigger the calling and impact the longer the preperation".

Oh the experiences of living in Nashville.......

Living in community is an experience everyone should go through. It’s an environment that allows you to really learn self control in all areas of your life – socially, devotional time, “me” time, practice time, HW, attitude, confrontation, etc. you name it, you’ll encounter it and produce better character.

I experienced the largest drum circle ever this past Tuesday night. A man came in with over 50 hand drums and percussion instruments and directed us somewhat like a choir and WOW what a fun night. We had so many sounds and beats going and we all sat in a huge circle facing each other it was so Powerful!!!

Our Neighbors were shooting a music video…couldn’t quite get any details outta’ them other than they were filming a music video. They were playing so loud and pumping so much fog that the fog and noise were seeping through the walls an sliding door to our dining area. Oh the joys of living in the old Marathon car factory.

Got to play basketball on a beautiful fall (COLD) day and about 6 neighborhood kids came out to play with us….SO MUCH FUN…one of my fav things’ I’ve done here. Three of my favorite things – outdoors, basketball and KIDS!!!

Surrounded by talent….one of our guests this week Shoc Shae, a producer called 2x to work for Nellie and he turned Nellie down, a fellow student turned down offer to tour and play for Brad Paisley and Taylor Swift…..and again I say surrounded by some talented peeps!

Learning to play piano….sooo STRETCHING, literally, but so fun…I might be spending more time creating stuff than actually practicing the scales…but I’m definitely improving.

Our worship team had an awesome breakthrough this last Friday night, it was so GOOD and anointed. At one of our practices we spent the entire time checking our attitudes and hearts, doing some team bonding and we closed with a spontaneous piano 2 chord progression praise song, that turned into this awesome worship song. We played it full band Friday night…..WOW it was so GOOD and people really enjoyed it. Love being creative with my creative arts team!!!

Watched a video “They sold their soul to rock ‘n roll” – so powerful but a heavy teaching completely validating the influence of satanic beliefs infiltrating society through rock ‘ n roll. So eye opening…..I was shocked, in disgust and am more attuned to details now. Google Aleister Crowley for more info on the man that has influenced thousands with his satanic teachings. What a reminder to those of us called to redeem music and allow positive Godly change to come through it.

I’m continuing to be stretched…removing any remaining residue that’ll keep me from being a pure vessel for the Lord to use. Seizing every opportunity here as I’m ½ way done with my time here.
Please keep me in your prayers as I prepare for the next season to come….details coming soon! Missin' california fruit and friends!!!!!!!

It's the end of October

This week has been full of experiences and growth......

Spent saturday evening at the state prison having church with the prisoners.....seeing the light in their eyes and the hunger they have for the Lord even when they spend hours everyday studying the Bible is a reality check for me.......

Sunday night I had the privilege to work with two chief musicians on arranging one of my songs....wow what a blessing. I was very nervous...but kept pushing past my shyness and what an experience to watch and work with such talented Godly men expanding what God did through me to an even greater level...(the songs I have written were never intended for other ears. They were my songs to God, but i'm learning that which I've experienced with the Lord is for others too). It required me taking my pride and humbly letting go and allowing others to take part in what God started in me.

One of our guest speakers this week Jim Anderson came and spoke as a Father restoring women to their position as daughters and restoring men to their position as men...such a word for the church body and our Fatherless generation. It hit me the reality of how it really takes a man to restore a women to her position...just understanding how God created man and women and the uniqueness of what it takes to work as a team. But both must be aligned with God and walking out their roles. Thank you Jesus i'm getting this now before I'm married.

Going through a transformation of attitude change, having healthy relationships just putting everything out there on the table establishing trust and open honesty in all areas holding nothing back. The experience of a battle buddy/accountability partner...amazing how the more I speak things in the light the easier it is to deal with it and rid it out of my life. It's true where there is light darkness must flee.....
My week is concluding with a 12 hour all night worship service.....every couple hours a new worship team comes on...praise God mine plays from 12midnight 'til 2am. That in istelf required another attitude adjustment...but knowing I'll be spending eternity worshiping God and if all I live for is God than how can I not want to partake in an all night of worship. So I"m pressing in to the realness of living out what my heart yearns and mouth speaks and putting it to action...but 1st starting with an attitude change...choosing to press in.

I'm 1/2 way done...keep me in your prayers as I finish growing and learning all God has for me here and prepare for my next season. I'm still believing for a new mac laptop as well. Thank you to those who have sent me links for discounted mac's. I'm standing in Faith for the finances.
Blessings,
Jennie

a week in October...

So apparently I live on photo shoot lane....whenever I walk outside there's someone having a photo shoot (brides, families, etc.) and apparently tons of bands have their album shots done down here at Marathon Village AKA clinton St. An interesting fact of Nashville, TN it was the 1st place in America that legalized prostitution BUT 90% of the evil that existed here NO LONGER exists. That is the power of prayer.....it's true, transformation in a community can occur when it's people take an active stand in prayer. The street I live on alone has transformed so much from 11 yrs. ago. Clinton St. was filled with prostitutes, drug dealers, homeless and broken homes. Through Meal of Hope, Provision International used to serve 800 people every week but because of the constant prayer, taking a stand and releasing God's presence there is now under 100 people attending. Praise God...How awesome and encouraging to know that our CONSISTENT actions and prayers can cause transformation in a community for the Glory of God. Where there is light darkness flees and transformation takes place!!

This past week we had an open mic night where everyone shared their personal songs. So amazing the talents and giftings everyone has. I can only imagine if the world was awakened to their destiny and gifitings.....just imagine what the world would be like.

This last week was busy but awesome...got to meet Chris McClarney..the guy who wrote 1/2 of Jesus Culture songs...what a humble man of God really challenging us to remain with the right heart condition and attune to God's timing when going through life's process. A common theme amongst our various teachers was for true transformation to occur, it must come from the inside out...so I continue to sit in the Foundry asking God reveal to me what more can be brought to the surface and burned away out of my life so that I can be a pure vessel for God's love and power to burn through me.
Welp...off to lead worship...Oh one fun fact....our 6:45 Am excersize this morning kickball....fun times in 50 degrees.
Please continue to join me in prayer for a new mac laptop. If you would like to make a financial contribution please email me for details - jennieMbryant@gmail.com

  • here's a little glimpse of my worship team playing one of my songs...1st debut. http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/10226644 make sure you foward to to 1:18 or 1:22 so you don't have to watch the whole thing

  • Please Pray - I am in need of a computer that properly works and for the work I will be doing with churches in strategic planning and musically as well. I'm praying for a 15 in. mac laptop computer - http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/

Your prayers and support mean alot to me.

Blessings,
Love and miss you guys

a few of the experiences........

The past few weeks….filled with lots of experiences.

Spent a Saturday in Kentucky….ate BBQ squirrel….actually quite tasty. Got to explore the woods and a corn field. So BEAUTIFUL out there.

Have had some awesome teachers come through our school…imparting lots and teaching some good stuff on breaking the religious spirit off the church. To name a few -Todd Ganovski (IHOP 15 yrs.), Richy Clark from Radiant worship encountered a deep level in the Lord’s presence during His teams’ worship as soon as they got their first song going I was gone with the Lord for 2 hrs.. Received a Father’s blessing from James Gall while he was teaching he came over and layed his hand on my head imparting stuff to me then spoke things over me and gave me a Father’s blessing. He is foundational in creating a floor for me to build off of for the advancement of the kingdom of God on Earth. What a blessing!!

On Friday’s we have live stream worship nights 7pm-10pm (central Time).
www.harvestsound.com Our first night I was asked to dance while my team played and sang….it was so liberating and fulfilling. What a privilege to be around so many talented people. What amazes me is that many of the students are multi talented and passionate for so many things. Such a beautiful reflection of God and inspiration to pursue all the desires in my heart to bring Glory to the King of Kings (God).

Living in true community is such an experience. A fellow student comes from an Amish community….mind boggling right….but 15 years ago the Holy Spirit fell in His community and they have not been the same. His parents came by to visit on route to Montana from MorningStar church and they are leaders in bringing in reformation to Amish community. So powerful to speak with them and seeing all they’ve gone through. Living in community is such a God thing when religiosity is broken off. So encouraging to seeing the Amish community being changed for the Kingdom of God makes me think how much simpler it should be for the Christian church body.
Friday I brought one of my unfinished songs to Worship team Practice…played it expecting to work on it for next few weeks and my leader asked to open that night with that song. So I chose to suck it up and do it. Wow…..what an experience to have a whole band playing out the melodies I had held in my head for over a year…..my favorite part was the violin. What got even better is watching the crowd press in and truly encounter the presence of God during the song…..God is soooo GOOD.

Saturday we did an outreach in downtown Nashville, TN walking the streets singing our songs declaring Heaven to Earth. It was so awesome. Just seeing the look in people’s eyes watching us from across the way, or passing by; I could see their hearts being stirred. I had the privilege of playing my guitar & singing while accompanied by my fellow teammate Arielle and her violin. …I was shocked at how bold we were and it was so FUN. What was funny as we walked further up one street we were stopped by some official music guys asking if we’d come play in the BB King House of Blues. They encouraged us to play worship, just no preachin…but to play over the people. Then 3 minutes later asked if we could be extras in a movie…no one had shown and they loved the idea of having Christians in it. How hungry the world is for the sons and daughters to take their place in leading the world to the kingdom of God - church body it's sooo time to go outside the walls and infiltrate the world.

I feel I am receiving more keys that are unlocking doors for the church body to walk in complete freedom for the advancement of the Kingdom of God. Exciting…Exciting.... Exciting!!!

A few more thoughts….

  • Lookin’ forward to the day when I don’t have to go to bed in the dark and get ready in the dark(curfew lights out rules errr).
  • I so appreciate California Fruit and Veggies….nothing like it!!
  • Experiencing true humility- doing worship and then cleaning toilets, taking out the trash, washing dishes, mopping floors.
  • Learning to play the piano and LOVE IT!!!!!
